Although it wasn’t for long, through Gran Torino’s training, Midoriya learns a new application for how to use his powers. Now with Midoriya soon to carry on the mantle, Gran Torino teaches him a thing or two about his power, one for all, as well. Gran Torino trained and sparred with All Might in order to make him the symbol of peace he is today. However, Gran Torino soon reveals that he isn’t only All Might’s mentor, but still a powerful combatant not to be taken lightly. When Izuku Midoriya first meets Gran Torino, he comes off as a frail, senile old man. Never underestimate your sensei no matter how old he or she gets. Urokodaki is a very serious and firm trainer, but under the mask he has shown to be very kindhearted and have great concern for his students. Urokodaki is so supportive and sympathetic to Tanjiro’s cause that he even sent a message to the Demon Slaying Corps that he will commit suicide if Nezuko ever eats a human. With the spell, Nezuko doesn’t have the strong impulse to eat humans and instead is able to see humans as different members of her family. When he finds out how dedicated Tanjiro is to saving his sister, Urokodaki puts a spell on Tanjiro’s sister, Nezuko. Urokodaki is as caring as he is stern however. Through Urokodaki’s tough and ruthless training, Tanjiro and Giyu have become incredible water breathing swordsmen. Giyu Tomioka is the current water hashira and was also the student of Urokodaki. Urokodaki has not only proved himself as a great warrior, but also a good teacher. The title of hashira, being the highest ranking members of the Demon Slaying Corps, shows how strong and formidable Urokodaki is.
Not only has Urokodaki trained several demon slayers, but Tanjiro later in his journey learns that his trainer was a former water pillar or water hashira. Sakonji Urokodaki is a master swordsman of water breathing. After an incident that killed off most of Tanjiro’s family, Tanjiro is sent to train with Sakonji Urokodaki in the way of the sword in order to protect himself and his demon sister. Before becoming a swordsman, Tanjiro was a simple charcoal seller. It is always interesting when you learn your master is a bigger deal than you know. #Master sensei series#
Information on characters within their series will be revealed. Spoiler Warning: This list contains slight spoilers of anime. Now let’s see who are the masters of masters. So in order to spread out the range of shows I decided to pick one teacher from each show for this list. Also I realize that some anime have multiple sensei within one series. For this list, I measured these memorable mentors based on the message they pass to their students, their impact on the anime overall and how many prodigies or GOATs (Greatest Of All Time) they taught. However, the thing that these guides all have in common is strength, knowledge and a new way of thinking that they pass to their pupils. Anime has a large assortment of diverse teachers, some funny, some serious and some perverted. This post is dedicated to the masters behind the students. There are several All-Stars in anime from Naruto to Goku, from Ichigo to Luffy, but before they became forces to be reckoned with, they needed teachers and masters to show them the way. In order for a student to become a master, most need a master to begin with.
